Airless sprayer parts / Fluid filtration

The last filter between your pump and your tip

A woven stainless screen on a rigid support core, sized to the long manifold housing used on full-size airless sprayers. Sold in packs of ten, because this is a consumable and a blocked screen stops the whole crew.

Choosing a grade

What 60 mesh actually stops

Mesh number counts openings per inch — the higher the number, the finer the screen. Pick by the coating you spray, not by the sprayer you own. All three panels below show the same 3 mm of screen, drawn to scale.

30 MESHCoarse

Nominal aperture 590 µm

Heavy-bodied primers, block filler and thick latex. Passes larger particles, so step up for topcoats.

60 MESHThis item

Nominal aperture 250 µm

Latex, acrylic and most water-based coatings. Fine enough to keep tails and spitting out of the finish, open enough that it will not starve the pump.

100 MESHFine

Nominal aperture 150 µm

Lacquer, stain and fine finish work. Loads up faster and restricts flow on thick material.

Fitment

Check these three before ordering

If body length, outside diameter and mesh grade all agree with the element you are replacing, this one drops straight in.

Check This element How to confirm
Body length 145 mm / 5.71 in Measure the old element end to end. Short-body housings take a different part.
Outside diameter 27 mm / 1.06 in Measure across the end cap, not across the screen.
Mesh grade 60 Usually stamped or printed on the end cap of the original.
Reference number 224459 Interchanges with this and equivalent long 60-mesh manifold elements. Reference only — no affiliation with any sprayer manufacturer is claimed.
Finish quality

Tails and spitting start here

Dried skin, rust flakes and site grit reach the tip through the manifold. A clean screen catches them first, so the fan stays even from the first pass instead of costing you a sand-and-respray.

Machine life

Cheaper than packings

Particles that get past the manifold go on to score packings, ball seats and tip carbide. Filtering at this point is the least expensive maintenance on the whole rig.

Downtime

A consumable, not a fitting

On heavy work a screen can load up in a day, and a blocked one stops the crew, not just the gun. Ten in the pack means the spare is in the van rather than at the paint store.

10pieces per pack

Why we do not sell these as singles

Manifold filters are consumables. Buying ten at a time costs less per piece than picking up singles, and it puts the spare where you need it — in the van, not at the counter. Distributor and OEM pricing available on volume.
